The runner up of the 2012 presidential election, Mitt Romney, says that it “kills him” not to be in the white house right now. Romney doesn’t blame his loss on Super Storm Sandy or New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, but instead a specific campaign weakness.
Romney says his “inability to connect with the minority groups”, specifically black and Hispanic voters, was his downfall. He also claims that the media did not help his cause, shedding light on his many errors and making him unable to connect with these minorities. This is logical, Romney on many occasions slipped during his election causing him to not appeal to the minorities in this country. He shunned himself from these groups and he lost, plain and simple.
Romney, who has avoided the media since his loss to Obama, compares the election to a roller coaster, “We were on a roller coaster, exciting and thrilling, ups and downs,” Romney said. “But the ride ends. And then you get off. And it’s not like, oh, can’t we be on a roller coaster the rest of our life? It’s like, no, the ride’s over.”
