As a sequel to “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs,” the story continues but instead, it’s not based on a book. In this sequel, the “Foodimals” become the protagonists of the story. As cool and animated as this movie looks, it was not the best rated PG movie. In “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs,” Flint Lockwood (voice by Bill Hader) creates a machine called “FLDSMDFR”, also known as “Flint Lockwood’s Diatonic Super Mutating Dynamic Food Replicator.” As a child, Flint always wanted to be an inventor. He always fantasized about being just like his idol, Chester V (voiced by Will Forte). In “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs,” he finally uses the “FLDSMDFR” and it just leaves a whole lot of mess to clean up. People ended up happy but where has the machine gone? “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2” leaves the viewer confused. It’s just a movie to entertain the young ones. It lacked the originality of the first movie. It starts by reviewing what happened in the first movie but then it all becomes childish and boring. In all, the expectation of this movie was that it would very fun and upbeat, but in the end, it was just a typical childish movie. People should only watch this movie if they are willing to spend 95 minutes trying to put together the pieces between the first movie and this one.
